CHAPTER THREE

Barbershop

Nevada Avenue's City Barbershop was where all the pimps went. Glammer had never been an exception. While most of the clientele were ordinary men from around the way, there were usually one or two flamboyantly-dressed pimps attended to by a bevy of beautiful hos. Glammer didn't want everyone to see that he was pimping fags right away, so he went early in the morning, when he figured the place would likely be empty.

Cody was plainly scared. He dragged his feet on his way in, and Glammer had to slap him on the ass to spur him into action. He was wearing a tiny bit of barely noticeable makeup, bright red short-shorts and a white tanktop.

"I feel naked..." Cody said.

"Good," Glammer said. "Naked is sexy."

There were one customer and four barbers there. The customer was a would-be pimp, Jimtown, whom Glammer knew didn't have any permanent hos or any real success at pimping. He scoffed at the sight of Cody, and the four barbers held back giggles.

"I didn't know you was into that," Jimtown said, sitting in his barber's seat; he motioned to Cody. The barber behind him, a burly middle-aged man built like a former football player, laughed.

"Sit down," Glammer said, slapping Cody's ass in his tight red shorts. Glammer sat down in one of the open chairs and said, "I am into making money off bitches, nigga. I take any bitch that can make me a dime."

"You fuck him?"

"Don't tell me you never gone downlow," Glammer said, "I know you have. All of you prolly done it."

The burly barber, Marcus, who was finishing Jimtown's haircut nodded first. "I ain't ashamed to admit it. When I was young, it weren't no big deal. You just did it to get yo' rocks off."

The three younger barbers moaned in disgust. "Nigga, shut up about that shit. The whole point of going downlow is not to talk about it," said one of them, who had perfectly tended cornrows and a crude thuggish face. He went by Crush, and Glammer knew he was only working here as part of a prison early-release program.

"You tryin' to claim you go back to prison every night and go to sleep with full balls?" Glammer asked. "Come on, Crush.... You a nigga or not?"

They all laughed and Crush said, "I ain't say I didn't do it. I said I don't talk about it."

"Making straight men fuck you off ain't as good as getting head from a genuine faggot anyway," Glammer said. He looked to Cody. "Ain't that right, bitch?"

"Yes, Glammer," Cody said.

Glammer smiled. "Damn, I love being in charge of white boys. Come here and suck someone off, bitch. You givin' out freebies today."

Cody got up and walked to the center of the room. The niggas watched and snickered.

The sun shined through the open windows of the shop until one of the barbers hurriedly drew the blinds and locked the door. He flipped the 'open' sign to 'closed'. Crush grabbed his dick through his jeans and said, "Shit, I'm going back to lockup in a few hours, and I'd rather get head from a faggot as a free man.
